Probiotics and prebiotics: What you should know – Doctor Mike Hansen

Lifestyle No Comments »

Probiotics are foods or supplements that contain live microorganisms intended to maintain or improve the “good” bacteria (normal microflora) in the body. Prebiotics are foods (typically high-fiber foods) that act as food for human microflora. Is it better to take prebiotics or probiotics?
Prebiotics are also generally more robust than probiotic supplements. Many probiotics die off when they come in contact with stomach acid or heat. Prebiotics feed the good bacteria already living in your gut without getting destroyed during digestion.

Although probiotics and prebiotics sound similar, they are very different and have different roles in gut health. We created a short animation to re-iterate the differences between the two.

L SIT: Tutorial

#shorts #hybridcalisthenics

Here’s how you can build up to an L Sit!

Isometric core exercises are extremely underrated.

As much as I talk about leg raises and situps, our core often works to STABILIZE our movements.

So we should train isometrically at least some times!

L Sits, Clutch Flags, and Human Flags are a great way to approach this.

The L Sit also strongly trains your shoulders and hips, keeping them healthy and vital.

Hope this helps you out!
